Radio has been virtually ruined since companies have been allowed to own more stations. The most in one city a company used to be able to own was one AM and one FM- now in my area there are 3 companies (CBS, ClearChannel and Entercom) that each own about 5 stations.

As long as most cable channels show commercials AND "Paid Programming", I see no logical reason to pay for cable. Commercials have always been on broadcast TV because they are what pays for the programming- with cable they're getting money from advertisers AND viewers, and that is just plain wrong.

For a long time, most network shows had TEN MINUTES of commercials per hour. This started increasing in the 1980s, and it's now closer to TWENTY MINUTES per hour.

Since ESPN shows commercials, and LOTS of them, nobody should be paying ANYTHING to get them.
