  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Philadelphia, PA

The Calm Act. Should be applied to internet providers, I am tired of commercials jumping up several decibels when I am watching a show that is so low I have to crank up the volume to as high as it can be just to hear it.

We have been told that cell phone numbers will be released to companies and also told that this is false. What is the truth?

BLUE RIDGE COMMUNICATIONS IS MY ONLY OPTION FOR CABLE TELEVISION SERVICE DUE TO PAYING ROYALTY FEES TO THE LOCAL GOVERMENTAL AUTHORITIES FOR HAVING THIS EXCLUSIVITY OF SERVICES. iF I HAD A CHOICE TO AT LEAST BE ABLE TO SHOP FOR SERVICES I KNOW THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO RECEIVE BETTER CABLE AND INTERNET SERVICE FOR A MORE COMPETITIVE PRICE. HOW DID WE GET STUCK WITH THIS ARRANGEMENT?

  5. Blaine County Montana

The area is located between the Mirrouri to the south and the Canadian border to the north.

We have one weekly within the county and two regional dailies that provide news service.

Additionally, radio station overlap (5) for radio coverage locally is also coupled with regional radio service.

The nearest TV stations are 150 miles away and a majority of rural service for Montana is satelitte dish TV.

Major portions of Montana are still designated "frontier" or "wilderness" designations.

Social Media for Knowledge Capture and Question Answering in Executable English over Databases. It could become the next big thing after Twitter and Facebook. And, shared use is free.

We need more local media, and less corporate propaganda. Almost everyone thinks they know things that are simply not true because of a lack of objective media.

  9. Birmingham, AL needs a LOCAL ABC Affilliate

With advent of HDTV we have lost access to an ABC affilliate unless we are willing to subscribe to cable or satellite. How about licensing an ABC affilliate for the metro Birmingham area?

  10. Redding, CA

    Dear Sirs,

My name is Ken Swanson. I am a board member of the Shasta County Fire Safe Council. I conduct a CTR (Construction Talk Radio) Show on Internet radio. I held the same format on local radio before the recession. I have found this to be a sustainable way to disseminate information to the general public and offer a platform for all First Responders and officials to use as a resource for disaster awareness. The radio show is a volunteer effort designed to network all entities engaged in preparedness. If we all take advantage of this live open dialog,…

We need to allow tv stations wmxi and wood to set up a low power rebroadcaster in or around the South Haven or Bangor Michigan area. TV reception on these channels are not always avalible to rual people when it is bad weather.

I see many people driving and texting while driving. This is very dangerous and needs to be outlawed. Read more on <a href="http://www.gounce.com/articles/iphone">iPhone apps</a>

  16. Frederick County, MD - 930 WFMD (Aloha Station Trust, LLC) Public News Radio

Something isn't right in Frederick County, Maryland. 930WMD and Aloha Stations Trust, LLC have gone too far with their political practices on Public Interest Radio. We need the FCC to look into it.
Frederick County, Maryland is a small but growing rural community situated 50 miles from our nation's capitol, Washington, DC. It is a community with a strong dedication to its people, farming and conservative values. By virtue of location Frederick County is also a growing community, welcoming cultural diversity, art, science and business both large and small. We have a local paper that folks have depended upon for…

  17. Havana, Illinois

I live in a rural county dominated by crop and cattle. Our Internet is a duopoly of phone companies. One sells cable and VOIP the other sells DSL and landline.. Both are expensive. If service was superior the cost would be tolerable. it isn't but we have no choice as there is no competition.

I live in a location that cannot receive the local radio. My solution was to purchase the NPR Livio Radio. It gives me all the access I need to news. The balance i can read in a local and regional papers.

  18. North Bonneville, Washington

    4-2-10

North Bonneville, Washington, is a small city of around 500 residents.

    County: Skamania
    Nearest city: Stevenson, WA
Nearest large near Cities: Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR

Local newspaper is Skamania County Pioneer, no web presence, no state or national news unless told to print it by officials. A so-so newspaper. Likes to print gossip and often is inaccurate.

Local TV: KGW, NBC affil; KOIN - CBS affil; KATU - ABC affiliate; KPTV - Fox affiliate; KOPB - PBS - best news but not local. Even so, each station is biased toward the right. Perhaps KGW/NBC is the fairest but…
