Considering the fact that the Los Angeles is regarded as a media center the coverage and indeed the quality of news and all forms of journalism is very poor and trivialized. There are exceptions but those exceptions occur on the margins and outside of the mainstream. Mainstream media is controlled by the same cabal of corporations that control and determine media substance and content for the rest of this nation. Broadcast journalism has deteriorated in quality and substance nationally and Los Angeles is no different than the rest of the nation in that respect. Journalism in other forms is does no better in my humble opinion. I no longer read newspapers or watch news broadcasts. I am able to obtain and acquire more informative news coverage in line through certain internet sources.
